Bitrise Onboarding
How to onboard your mobile app to Bitrise CI — what the MCoE team needs from you and what happens next.
This guide walks through the process of getting your mobile app project set up in Bitrise. The MCoE team handles the heavy lifting — you just need to provide a few details.
Prerequisites
Before starting the onboarding process, make sure:
- All team members who need access have an approved Secure request for
AZU_BITRISE_USERS - You know which GitHub organization hosts your mobile app repositories
If you’ve already requested access and confirmed SSO, you’re ready to proceed.
What we need from you
Reach out to the MCoE team with the following:
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| GitHub organization name | The org that hosts your mobile repositories |
| Repository links | Direct links to each mobile app repo |
| CI Platform Engineer emails | Engineers who will lead the migration (must have AZU_BITRISE_USERS access) |
Currently connected organizations
The following GitHub organizations already have the Bitrise GitHub app installed. If your org is listed, you only need to provide your repo links and engineer contacts.
| Organization |
|---|
optum-digital-experience |
uhg-pipelines |
uhc-consumer |
optum-financial |
uhg-internal |
uhc-tech-employer-individual-ancillary |
uhc-tech-medicare-retiree-common |
If your organization is not listed, let us know — we’re actively connecting additional orgs to the Bitrise GitHub app.
What happens next
Once the MCoE team has your details, we will:
-
Connect your GitHub org
If not already connected, we’ll install the Bitrise GitHub app on your organization.
-
Create your Bitrise CI project
We’ll create the project and connect the required repositories.
-
Set up access groups
Two groups are created per app:
[App Name]__OWNERS— Platform Engineer access[App Name]__CONTRIBUTORS— Tester / QA access (onboarded later)
-
Notify your team
You’ll be notified when Bitrise CI is fully integrated and ready for migration.
How to get started
Post in the Bitrise Support channel inside MCoE on Microsoft Teams, or contact Anthony Asaro directly with the information above.
